The thrower's elbow is subject to conditions and injuries that non-throwing elbows are not. A unique set of injuries can occur, and these are mostly preventable by ensuring proper warm-up and observing pitch counts. It is also advisable to follow the guidelines for pitch types thrown for each age group.
